ARTIST INFOSonia Delaunay was a Ukrainian-French painter and designer
Her works show Sonia Delaunay as a representative of “geometric abstraction”.
Her works show Sonia Delaunay as a representative of “geometric abstraction”. From 1915 onwards she also created large-figure compositions, for which she found inspiration in Spain. Watercolors and ceramic works are also created again and again. In 1937 she created a 235 m² composition that was much discussed at the World Exhibition in Paris. The following year she exhibited together with Albert Gleizes at the Petit Palais in Paris.
