INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sonia Delaunay was a Ukrainian-French painter and designer. Her works show Sonia Delaunay as a representative of “geometric abstraction”.
From 1915 onwards she also created large-figure compositions, for which she found inspiration in Spain. Watercolors and ceramic works are also created again and again. In 1937 she created a 235 m² composition that was much discussed at the World Exhibition in Paris. The following year she exhibited together with Albert Gleizes at the Petit Palais in Paris.
Her works show Sonia Delaunay as a representative of “geometric abstraction”.
