HOW IT WORKS The valuation process

    1. Submit your enquiry

Please use  info@galeriejeanne.com  to send as much information and clear photographs as possible.

    2. Preliminary review

We will review whether the work falls within our area of expertise.

    3. Quotation

If the work is suitable for further assessment, you will receive an individual quotation for the appropriate valuation service.

    4. Commissioning the valuation

Once you have accepted the quotation and paid the agreed fee, we will begin our research.

    5. Valuation

Depending on the complexity of the assignment, valuations are generally completed within 5 to 10 working days after receipt of all required information.

The preliminary review does not include an indication of value or constitute a binding valuation.

Once commissioned, we analyse the relevant work and market data and prepare the agreed valuation.

Optional sales consultation upon request, we can subsequently consider whether the artwork may be suitable for brokerage or sale through Galerie Jeanne.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The valuation represents a professional opinion of the likely market value of the artwork at the date of valuation.

It is not a guarantee of the price that may ultimately be achieved.

Market values may vary depending on demand, condition, provenance, authenticity, documentation and the chosen method of sale.

A valuation based on photographs does not replace a physical inspection of the artwork.

The valuation does not constitute a binding authentication, scientific examination or confirmation of inclusion in a catalogue raisonné.

Formal valuations required for insurance, taxation, legal proceedings or estate settlements must be agreed separately before the service is commissioned.
