The American-based artist Sean Scully and working as a sculptor, photographer, printmaker and painter.

He is one of the leading artists of the transition from Minimalism to Emotional abstraction in painting.

Education of Sean Scully:

• (1965–1968) Croydon College of Art
• (1968–1972) Newcastle University
• (1972–1973) Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University (graduate fellowship)

In 1975 Sean Scully moved to New York from London.

Scullys artworks are held in significant museum collections worldwide.

Scully has been a lecturer and professor at a number of universities.

His writing and teachings are collected in the 2016 book:
